Leadership Profile: Suzana Bishop

ATDW Board Member & Chief Executive Officer, NT Department of Tourism & Hospitality

Suzana Bishop is the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality in the Northern Territory, where she spearheads initiatives in Tourism and Events, Screen NT investment, Parks and Wildlife Operations, and the regulatory landscape for Racing, Wagering, and Alcohol.

An expert in crafting destination experience strategies, Suzana is a passionate advocate for leveraging partnerships to drive visitation and enhance the visitor economy.

With over 25 years of experience in the visitor economy, Suzana has held prominent leadership roles in some of Victoria’s most prestigious event organisations, including the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Australian Grand Prix, and Federation Square.

Her extensive governance experience includes serving on various boards and committees, such as the Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) Events Committee, the Canberra International Music Festival Board, the Port of Echuca Board, and Meetings & Events Australia. Currently, she is a non-Executive Director at the Waterfront Corporation and ATDW.

An alumnus of the Committee for Melbourne’s Future Focus Group program, Suzana is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). She holds a graduate degree in public relations, a master’s degree in advertising, and an executive MBA from RMIT University, underscoring her commitment to excellence in leadership and innovation.
