The Victorian State Ballet | Swan Lake

Theatre Royal Hobart

Step into the spellbinding world of Swan Lake — the ultimate classical ballet experience. The Victorian State Ballet brings one of the world's most celebrated ballets to the stage in a spectacular production filled with beauty, drama and breathtaking artistry. Set to Tchaikovsky's magnificent and instantly recognisable score, Swan Lake has captivated audiences for generations with its timeless story of love, deception and destiny. From the haunting beauty of the White Swan pas de deux to the dazzling brilliance of the Black Swan and her legendary 32 fouettés, audiences will experience the unforgettable moments that have made Swan Lake one of the greatest masterpieces of classical ballet. Featuring internationally recognised artists, exquisite costumes and the grandeur of the classical tradition, the production includes the iconic Dance of the Four Cygnets, the White Swan Pas de Deux and the spectacular Black Swan Grand Pas de Deux. Re-staged by Michelle Sierra, with Acts I and III featuring her original choreography, this elegant production honour's the spirit and tradition of Petipa while showcasing Victorian State Ballet's own distinctive artistic voice. A breathtaking sea of white tutus, superb classical technique and Tchaikovsky's soaring music combine to create an unforgettable experience at the theatre.
