Yarra Valley Spoken Word November 2026
Yarra Valley ECOSS
Experience the power of storytelling at Yarra Valley Spoken Word's November gathering, featuring Melbourne poet Jaap Ardas Singh.
Hosted at the unique Dreaming Space Dome within Yarra Valley ECOSS in Wesburn, this inclusive community event celebrates the rich tradition of the spoken word on the second Friday of the month.
Feature artist Jaap Ardas Singh draws inspiration from his background as a kundalini yoga teacher, numerologist, and food gardener. His poetry explores life, nature, spirituality, and the shared human experience, offering a deeply reflective journey that encourages listeners to better understand themselves.
The evening begins with a welcoming poetry workshop and open mic session, followed by a shared community supper. Jaap Ardas Singh takes the stage (suitable for ages 12 plus), leading into a second open mic segment and concluding with chai and chat.
Families are welcome until after supper, and respectful, silent listening is requested during all performances.
Entry and supper are by donation, ensuring the event remains accessible to everyone. Gather with local wisdom keepers and contemporary storytellers to share your own musings or simply be inspired by the creative voices of the valley.
