Taking place at the foot of Geboor (Mount Macedon) on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country across three days in November, Mountain Writers Festival offers a literary festival experience unlike any other. Founded by Macedon Ranges locals, the Festival returns this year, to celebrate stories that deepen our relationship with place.
Coming together with local and regional voices to muse on the Festival's enduring theme 'Nature. Place. Story.', this year's festival features some of Australia's most acclaimed writers and thinkers, including Bob Brown, Debra Dank, Maxine Beneba Clarke, Omar Musa, Jac Semmler, Victor Steffensen.
