Festival of Stories at Flaggy
Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village
Guests will be able to access the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village for the duration of the festival. Check out the Story Trail Challenge, prompting families to find clues, complete tasks and interact with authors, roaming characters, and the Village spaces in order to win a $5 book voucher per child aged four years and over.
There will also be a letter hunt, paper quilling with cast members from Beauty and the Beast, story games with presenting and local authors, and Random Acts of Storytelling with roaming book characters from the Warrnambool Theatre Company. Three films for history buffs will be showing in the Theatrette.
Enjoy the Back to School sessions, complete with old-fashioned clothes, slates and a strict teacher straight from the 1870s (12pm to 1pm: 20 minute sessions, first come, first served)
The Maremma Experience will have reduced entry, supporting the Middle Island Project.
This special event is being delivered by Collins Booksellers Warrnambool in collaboration with Flagstaff Hill, for the purposes of enhancing the engagement of children and their families with books, reading, and storytelling.
The bookshop is a grateful recipient of funding from the ABA Bookseller Events Program, assisted by the Australian Government through Writing Australia. Tickets are priced below true cost thanks to this financial support.
