December is a time for catching up with friends, celebrating the year that was and making room for a little fun. Whether it's a long-overdue get-together or an end-of-year celebration, the Jetty Theatre is hosting the perfect festive night out. The Piano Party is bringing a lively dose of music, laughter and nostalgia to town with an invitation to do more than sit back and watch.
Featuring pianist Brian Cousins and entertainer Tim Maddren, the show celebrates the songs that have brought people together across generations. From the high-energy hits of the 1950s, '60s and '70s to modern favourites including "Sweet Caroline" "Get Lucky" and "Creep", the evening promises a soundtrack packed with familiar tunes and plenty of opportunities to join in.
The Piano Party looks back to a time before Spotify and headphones, when the piano was the centrepiece of a gathering, and knowing the words was all part of the fun. It's not quite a concert and it's not karaoke, but rather a shared musical experience where the audience becomes part of the performance.
