Traditional Twining: Dilly Bag Weaving Workshop

Queensland Museum Cobb+Co

Learn traditional twining (or twisting) weave techniques and create your own dilly bag in this hands-on workshop with Aunty Barb Walker. Spend the day weaving, yarning and learning as Aunty Barb shares stories of Country, culture and traditional weaving practices. You'll create your own woven piece to take home and learn skills you can continue to practise beyond the workshop. Recommended for ages 16 and over. Cobb's Coffee Shop is closed for renovations, so bring your own lunch, drinks and snacks. Coffee and grab-and-go options will be available from our onsite kiosk. Presented in partnership with The University of Queensland.
