Glimmers of Life Exhibition

Strathnairn Arts Homestead Gallery 2

Featuring the work of Naomi Cobcroft, Deneka Lay, Jacqui Mancuso, Rachel McInerney, Rachel Pepper & Emma Ralph Glimmers of Life (2026) is a mixed media exhibition by six local artists who first connected through art therapy in late 2023. Evolving into a supportive friendship group, they meet monthly to energize each other's creative endeavors, using art as a retreat from modern life and a shared pursuit of wellbeing. Through life's trials—including serious illness, loss, and mental health challenges—the group continues to show up for connection and creation. Their work reflects this journey, translating emotion into visual metaphors that capture brief moments of hope and joy. Using watercolours, drawing, relief printing, textiles, collage, and clay, the artists explore diverse subjects: encounters with wild creatures, sweet moments with pets, natural landscapes, plant life, and embodiments of lived experience. The variety of mediums and styles highlights the strength of the group, blending distinct individual perspectives into a cohesive harmony. Ultimately, Glimmers of Life invites viewers to celebrate the richness of everyday existence and discover the goodness and aliveness hidden in life's smaller details.
