Cedar and Steam Art Exhibition
Glenreagh Hall (school of Arts)
Held annually in Glenreagh, New South Wales—a hinterland village located on the back road between Coffs Harbour and Grafton—the Cedar and Steam Art Exhibition is a celebrated community event organised by the Glenreagh Memorial Museum. Launched in 2007, the exhibition honours the region's pioneer history—Cedar recognising the historic timber industry and Steam honouring the areas rich railway heritage.
Highlights include:
Diverse Categories: Features regional works in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and textile arts.
Youth & Schools: Displays artwork from local primary schools across the Orara Valley.
Special Themes: Features creative annual challenge categories, ranging from decorated mailboxes to puppets.
Opening Night: Begins with a traditional Friday evening opening featuring a country supper, awards presentation, and artwork sales.
The event brings together artists, locals, and regional visitors. Proceeds from entry fees and artwork sales directly support the ongoing preservation efforts and operations of the Glenreagh Memorial Museum.
