Beaton Park Athletics Track
The 11th Wollongong Walk4BrainCancer will be held in support of the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, a leading organisation for brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness in Australia!
Put your purple gear on and come along for an inspirational 2-5 kilometre walk on the Athletics Track at Beaton Park in honour of those that have been lost to brain cancer, to celebrate the survivors, and to give hope, courage and support to those currently fighting brain cancer. You will also be helping to raise much needed awareness and vital funds for brain cancer research and advocacy.
The path caters for walkers of all levels and is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. You can walk as many laps as you like (2 kilometres is equivalent to approximately four laps of the track). Registration is from 9am with formalities and the walk commencing at approximately 10am.
What to expect on the day - Sausage Sizzle, Food Stall, Coffee Truck, Ice Cream Van, DJ, Jumping Castle, Face Painting, Merchandise, Professional photography, Raffles, Basketball activities facilitated by Illawarra Hawks Players and "Tomma", Guest speaker: CBCF's CEO Andrew Giles
