Echoes of the Daintree

Alexandra Bay Sporting Club

Spend a Saturday afternoon in the Daintree with live music, local makers and great food. Organised by the Daintree Marketing Cooperative, Echoes of the Daintree features a free concert of live cello duo (Dr Danielle Bentley and Alison Smith O'Connell) and local harpist Loni Fitzpatrick. Alison and Danielle will play a joyful program of classical and contemporary pieces, on the world's most heartfelt instrument. The program will celebrate the beauty of the Daintree through weaving stories with timeless lyrical melody. In addition market stalls, entertainers and food, all set at the Alexandra Bay Sporting Club in Diwan, north of the Daintree River towards Cape Tribulation. Join in on Saturday 28 November from 3pm to 6pm. Entry and entertainment are free, so bring family, friends, your picnic and rug and make an afternoon of it. FNQ locals can travel free on the Daintree Ferry with a Douglas Card. Why not make a weekend of it?
