Rufous Whistler

Ararat Town Hall

Rufous Whistler is a folk and alt-country band from Northeast Victoria, known for harmony rich live shows and songs that land somewhere between funny and devastating. Their debut album National Panic (2025) went on the ARIA Country Chart, was ABC Country's Feature Album of the Week and was nominated for Best Debut at the Folk Alliance Australia Awards. They've since played 100+ shows across Australia and New Zealand, including Woodford Folk Festival, Yackandandah, and Tussock Country in New Zealand, where they took out the Virtuoso Busking Competition.
