Science Social
Mi Casa Cafe
Science Social is an independent grass roots initiative based in Brisbane / Meanjin.
A regular free event that is equal parts workshop, networking and brunch. The primary goal is to create a casual community hub for anyone working, studying or interested in science to make new connections, collaborate and exercise their communication skills.
Events are held at a Brisbane cafe and typically involve quick-fire ice-breakers, solo and team games, guided discussions, general networking, guest-run segments from regular participants, and the opportunity for attendees to share upcoming events and projects, all to encourage attendees to communicate science in creative ways.
