Mark Lang

Ararat Town Hall

Rich with melody and storytelling, acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Mark Lang (Skipping Girl Vinegar) launches his highly anticipated solo album Wild Swan. Wild Swan was written and recorded over a three-year period between his Victorian coastal hometown and Nashville USA. Mark worked with long-time collaborators and producers Nick Huggins (The Dirty Three) and Brad Jones (Ron Sexsmith). The three friends uncovered a new sonic landscape for Lang's songwriting to inhabit, delivering a masterful piece of work. Thrilling audiences from the main stages of premier festivals including solo shows at Bluesfest, Cambridge Folk Festival (UK), Port Fairy Folk Festival, Splendour In The Grass, Woodford Folk, Falls Festival and many more. Mark's work has received extensive airplay on major national broadcasters Triple J, ABC, Double J and community radio, as well as US college radio play with 7 weeks in the Top 100 CMJ charts, and numerous top positions across the US. After a sold-out show at Hamer Hall with Melbourne Indie Voices and fresh off the back of a North American tour, including the legendary Canadian festival Stanfest, Mark returns home to share Wild Swan in full.
