The Choir of King's College, Cambridge and William Barton - Musica Viva Australia in Adelaide

Adelaide Town Hall

The Choir of King's College, Cambridge returns to Australia for a unique collaboration with composer, performer and visionary William Barton. The iconic Choir, founded in the 15th century, is famous for its much-loved broadcasts from the magnificent Chapel of King's College, but to truly appreciate their remarkable musicianship and impeccable sound you have to hear them live. And you can, in 2027, when they return to Australia to explore music old and new with one of Australia's most charismatic musicians. From green fields and stained-glass windows to red dirt and blue skies, the songs will meet, merge, and make meaning. Gabriel Fauré's Requiem is the moving centrepiece of a program of choral classics. And woven into these profound meditations, William Barton offers his own invitation to join him in a hymn to Country.
