Lush Lychees
Grown is a long-table dinner set among the lychee trees at Lush Lychees, a family-owned farm at South Yaamba near Rockhampton. It celebrates the produce, farmers and makers of Central Queensland.
Guests arrive to a signature lychee cocktail and locally inspired canapés as festoon lights glow through the orchard at sunset. They then take their seats at one long timber table for a plated main course of Central Queensland produce, followed by a tropical fruit dessert.
The farmers and growers behind every dish are named on the menu and share the stories behind their food. Guests are not simply told their meal is local. They meet the people who produced it.
Live country music plays through the evening, and a return coach runs from Rockhampton.
