Yarraville Farmers Market

Bassett Reserve

On the fourth Sunday of every month, a tree-filled reserve in Melbourne's inner west comes alive. Yarraville Farmers Market gathers on the green at Bassett Reserve, where the neighbourhoods of Yarraville, Kingsville and West Footscray meet, and everyone is welcome. This is produce at its freshest and most honest, sold by the very people who grow and make it. Wander the stalls and you will find vine-ripened tomatoes and orchard fruit, bread folded by hand, artisan goat cheese from a scientist turned cheesemaker, small-batch jams and chutneys, gluten-free arancini, pasture-raised meats, and coffee roasted close to home. Every stallholder brings something of their own, so there's always something to discover. More than a place to shop, the market was created to bring people together. It's a free, family-friendly and dog-friendly morning out, set beneath established trees in a leafy reserve, with local performers, room to linger, to enjoy, and growers happy to share their story. It reflects the rich, multicultural character of the inner west and the community spirit that makes this pocket of Melbourne so loved. Managed by locals and supported by Maribyrnong City Council, Yarraville Farmers Market treads lightly on the reserve and celebrates the makers who call the west home. A true inner-west gathering, community-made. Come, gather on the green, stay a while.
