Step into the world of slow fashion and give your clothes a second life. In this one-day workshop you will explore decorative patching, darning and embroidery that will transform worn favorites into something uniquely yours, while learning mindful, practical skills that celebrate imperfection, storytelling and the beauty of repair. All welcome no experience needed, all materials supplied. Nicole Mallalieu is a pattern designer, educator and author known for her warm, approachable teaching style, as well as her You Sew Girl!! patterns and books – The Savvy Seamstress and the Better Bag maker. With a background in design patternmaking and production development, Nicole brings valuable industrial insight to her classes translating professional techniques into clear achievable steps for makers of all levels. Over the past 25 years, she has taught in higher education at Billy Blue College of Design, online with Creativebug, and through workshops guilds and community programs helping students build skills confidence and pride in what they create.
