Grand Opening Blak Arts Collective Pop-Up Gallery Shop

Join them for the launch of this exciting project. Discover local Aboriginal art and artists from across the region at Muswellbrook Marketplace. Meet the creatives and discover their work! The shop will feature true local original artwork and gifts to purchase, live art demonstrations and talks, workshops and activities for kids and adults. The program is devised by First Nations people and will be a welcoming space for everyone. There's something for your wall, for your table, something to wear, or a great Christmas present. Welcome To Country by Wanaruah elder Tim Miller. Whose work will you get to see? There's artists from Wanaruah/Wonnarua and Gringai/Worimi mob, as well as other First Nations creatives living within the Dungog, Singleton, Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter Shires. The goal is to sell work and give economic opportunity for Aboriginal people. Come along! This project is delivered by Blak Arts Collective, in partnership with Arts Upper Hunter and Wanaruah Local Aboriginal Land Council, with support from the Australian Government's Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support (IVAIS) program.
