Greasepaint and the Silver Screen: An Afternoon of Fun Music IV
Liberty Theatre
Come out to enjoy this film and theatre music extravaganza. Guest artists will include well-known local soprano Julie O'Connor and her vocal quartet Wickham Lane, and the band will also perform the soundtrack for the premiere public screening of Star Quest : Arrodin's Story, a short film directed and produced by Canberra-based film maker Edward Lucas.
This is the fourth in what has become a popular annual series of spring concerts in Yass. The theme for this year's Yass Valley Concert Band hosted event will be cinema and theatre music, presented in our local art deco venue, the Liberty Theatre. The purpose of the event is to help raise money for the theatre's ongoing restoration fund. To that end (and because only the lower tier of seating is currently available) there will be three similar (but not identical) shorter concerts during the afternoon.
Refreshments will be available for purchase. Proceeds from this year's event will go to Liberty Theatre restoration fund.
