The Great Botanic Seed Swap and Share
Rose Garden Pavilion, Adelaide Botanic Garden
Calling all budding green thumbs! Gather the whole family for a fun community celebration of seeds and home gardening at the beautiful Adelaide Botanic Garden.
Saving seeds is a great way to cut down on gardening costs and protect biodiversity.
Come along to discover new seeds for your kitchen garden, connect with a community of like-minded garden lovers and have fun at this fete-like festival of seeds!
Bring in your saved seeds to share and leave with something new to plant in your garden.
Don't have any saved seeds? Don't worry! For a small donation, you can purchase tokens to swap for seeds.
There is a lot to see and do with fun stalls, hands-on kid's activities, guided tours, live music, a sausage sizzle and more!
Plus, we are excited to welcome ABC Radio Adelaide who are broadcasting live from this event. Come and see presenter Jason Chong in action from 10am -12pm, and Sophie Thomson for the talk-back gardening show from 11am.
Your ticket includes entry to the event; some activities have a small additional cost of $2.00. Profits from this day will be donated to the science and conservation work of the South Australian Seed Conservation Centre.
Make a full day out and explore the rest of the gorgeous garden, grab a bite to eat and see what else is on.
