Kingaroy BaconFest

Kingaroy Memorial Park

Kingaroy BaconFest is a two-day (Friday night and Saturday) sizzling food festival set in Queensland's beautiful South Burnett. The event celebrates the versatility of bacon and puts Australian pork on centre stage. It's coordinated by bacon-loving volunteers and proudly supported by sponsors including SunPork Fresh Foods and Australian Pork Limited. Attendees at Kingaroy BaconFest experience a bacon-fuelled weekend including a big bacon breakfast, bacon eating competitions, low and slow BBQ competitions, the opportunity to meet local producers and cooking demonstrations by some of Australia's favourite celebrity chefs such as Miguel Maestre, Alistair McLeod, Matt Golinski and Justine Schofield. Live music is a key part of the festival and over the course of the weekend bacon-lovers can expect to see both talented local artists and some of the best names in the musical business. Previous headline artists have included Troy Cassar-Daley, The Porkers, The Pigs and Murphy Pigs. BaconFest also boasts market stalls featuring punny bacon related products and importantly plenty of opportunities to sample delicious foods that showcase Australian bacon!
