Island of Ideas | Dispatches from the Far South in Burnie

Field Building, University of Tasmania, Cradle Coast Campus, Burnie

The Far South is changing rapidly. We have already seen warming oceans and vast decreases in sea ice coverage. The future state of the climate depends on what happens next. Join in for a special Island of Ideas talk in Burnie with physical oceanographer Dr Edward Doddridge as he takes you to the vast ocean surrounding Antarctica. Drawing on historic Antarctic expeditions, satellite observations and supercomputer modelling, Ed will reveal how changes in the Far South are reshaping ocean systems across the globe. Free event. Registration required.
