As part of the Grampians Wine Festival join Black and Ginger wines for the second edition of Blacky's Bottles.
Grenache is one of the most widely planted varieties in the world. At its best, it's an absolute joy bursting with red fruit, warmth and spice. At its most expressive, it can be rich, complex and utterly compelling. Thin-skinned and heat-loving, Grenache thrives in warm, dry climates and has a long and proud history in Australia, is now being grown and crafted beautifully right across the country and the results couldn't be more different from one region or producer to the next. It is especially well suited to the Grampians due to their warm days and cool nights during the ripening season and generally dry conditions.
Black and Ginger winemaker, Hadyn Black has gathered a collection of Australian Grenaches and instead of enjoying them one by one, they thought it'd be far more fun to line them up and compare. So whether you know your Grenache well or you're just curious to find out what all the fuss is about — here's your chance to taste a great selection all at once.
They will talk you through each wine, there will be plenty of opportunity for questions, and some delicious food to enjoy alongside the tasting.
