Art Exhibition - The Places That Shape Us by Ray Monde

The Q Exhibition Space - Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre

The Places That Shape Us exhibition, examines queer lived experiences in regional Australia. Through immersive collages, shaped in conversation with artists such as Nell, Todd Fuller and Prue Hazelgrove, Ray explores the emotional landscape of growing up different in the rural regions. Ray who is based in Braidwood NSW, weaves his own memories with those of his peers and collaborators, into large panel soft hued collage works. The Places that Shape Us is a physical journey through familiar and unfamiliar places, with audio from contributors who extend the experience beyond the visual. Please note the Q Exhibition Space is closed between 12:30pm - 2pm, Tuesday to Friday. This is exhibition forms part of the Queanbeyan Arts Trail. Join Ray on Sunday 18 Oct for a 'Collage and Sip - Painting with Paper Workshop' via the booking link.
