Saltwater Girls is a new work by Lana Filies about attending Catholic school, discovering her sexuality, told with humour and heart.
Through storytelling and poetry Lana moves between memories of girlhood, first crushes, Catholic rituals, complicated relationships and the difficult business of becoming yourself. There are hymns, school bells, Gossip Girl, a healthy amount of lesbian yearning and, inevitably, Sappho.
