Violet Town Remembrance Day Service
Violet Town RSL
Join the Violet Town RSL and local community in commemorating Remembrance Day, a time to honour and remember the service and sacrifice of Australian and Allied military personnel.
Observed annually on 11 November, Remembrance Day marks the anniversary of the 1918 Armistice that brought an end to fighting in the First World War. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, communities across Australia pause for one minute's silence in remembrance of those who have served, suffered and died in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
The Violet Town Remembrance Day Service offers a meaningful opportunity for residents and visitors alike to reflect, pay their respects and connect with the region's rich military history. Gather with members of the Violet Town RSL, veterans, families and community members as the nation pauses to remember the courage, dedication and sacrifice of servicemen and servicewomen across generations.
Visitors are warmly invited to attend this solemn and significant ceremony, taking time to reflect in the welcoming community of Violet Town while experiencing the town's heritage, hospitality and strong sense of community spirit.
