Wild Gravel

Stirling Range National Park

Wild Gravel is a premier regional cycling and running event held in the spectacular Stirling Range (Koi Kyeunu-ruff) in Western Australia's Great Southern region. Set amongst some of the state's most dramatic mountain landscapes, the event attracts visitors from across Western Australia and beyond. The event features a diverse range of gravel cycling, trail running, walking and relay events catering to all ages and abilities, from families and first-time participants through to elite endurance athletes. Participants travel through scenic gravel roads, rolling farmland and rugged mountain landscapes that showcase the unique character of the region. Wild Gravel is designed to encourage visitors to extend their stay and explore the wider Great Southern. Attendees are encouraged to experience local accommodation, cafes, wineries, attractions, walking trails and cultural experiences throughout Gnowangerup, the Stirling Range and surrounding communities. The event village provides a vibrant hub where visitors can enjoy local food, entertainment, community activities and regional hospitality. Beyond the sporting experience, Wild Gravel delivers significant tourism and economic benefits by attracting overnight visitors, supporting local businesses and increasing awareness of the region as an adventure tourism destination. Through strong community involvement, cultural partnerships and authentic regional experiences, Wild Gravel continues to strengthen the profile of the Great Southern as one of Western Australia's most unique and rewarding destinations to visit.
