Omega Ensemble In Concert

Orange Regional Conservatorium

Hailed as "the best classical group in town" (Sydney Morning Herald) and "Australia's most exciting and forward-thinking ensemble" (Limelight), Omega Ensemble is one of Australia's most dynamic and acclaimed classical music groups. Renowned for their fearless artistry and commitment to new music, Omega Ensemble brings to Orange a captivating performance that pairs a world premiere Clarinet Concerto by celebrated Australian composer Paul Stanhope with contemporary works from Australia's leading voices. Recognised as one of Australia's leading composers, Paul Stanhope's celebrated body of work combines Western traditions with modernist techniques in a distinctive, engaging voice. In this world premiere commissioned by Omega Ensemble, Stanhope brings lyrical depth and rhythmic vitality to his first Clarinet Concerto, marked by clarity of narrative and invention. Audiences will experience the energy, virtuosity and imagination that have made Omega Ensemble one of Australia's most vital forces in classical music.
