Texas Star Performance Horses Clinic Participants Campdraft
Barraba Showground
The 2026 Texas Star Performance Horses Clinic Participants Campdraft is a well-established equine event focused on developing riders and supporting progression from structured training into competition. The event is built around a clinic-to-competition pathway, providing a supportive entry point for riders transitioning into campdrafting. It strengthens horsemanship skills, improves cattle handling ability, and builds confidence in a safe, professionally managed environment.
Now entering its sixth consecutive year, the event brings together a community of competitors, families, support crews, and spectators. It typically attracts approximately 1,200 first round runs across a multi-day program. This scale contributes to strong regional visitation and significant economic activity for the host community.`
The event is unique in its structure, combining multiple competition formats within a single program. The core clinic participants campdraft is restricted to riders who have completed a Neil Faint campdraft clinic within the 2026 calendar year, ensuring a consistent foundation of training and horsemanship. Alongside this are open jackpot campdrafts, progeny campdrafts that highlight performance horse breeding programs, and memorial campdrafts that honour respected members of the campdrafting community.
In 2026, the event will be held at Barraba Showground in Barraba, New South Wales. The relocation reflects a deliberate focus on supporting smaller rural communities, increasing regional visitation, and strengthening local economies while continuing to grow participation and engagement in the sport.
