Endless Sky – Cathedral Series

St Peter's Cathedral

A sacred space becomes a living concert hall, where music reawakens the soul. Dancing winds bring a burst of joy to Pulcinella, Stravinsky's charming suite from his Italian-inspired ballet. Tchaikovsky's enchanting Serenade for Strings maintains the heartwarming mood with airy strings that send music floating through St Peter's Cathedral. The program takes a transportive turn with the pure tones of Caroline Shaw's and the swallow, while J.S. Bach's Concerto for Violin and Oboe adds contrast through driving rhythms and energy. Cathedral Series is generously supported by James & Diana Ramsay Foundation.
