Portarlington Mussel Festival

Portarlington Park

Each January the Portarlington Mussel Festival transforms this seaside town on Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula into a vibrant celebration of food music and community. The festival shines a spotlight on the region's renowned blue mussels harvested fresh from local waters and served in a variety of mouth-watering styles. Visitors can enjoy a wide selection of mussel dishes from classic garlic and herb to inventive creations by local chefs. The bustling market area features regional produce wines, craft beers and handmade goods offering a true taste of the Bellarine. Live music fills the streets with performances from talented local and touring artists across a range of genres including blues folk and acoustic rock. Family-friendly entertainment includes rides, face painting and hands-on activities ensuring fun for all ages. Set against the stunning backdrop of Portarlington's waterfront the festival combines coastal charm with a lively atmosphere. Whether drawn by the fresh seafood, the live music or the relaxed coastal setting the Portarlington Mussel Festival is a standout summer event.
