Various Venues

Nestled in the heart of Victoria's High Country, the picturesque town of Bright comes alive in winter with the return of the Bright Winter Festival. Surrounded by alpine landscapes and set along the beautiful Ovens River, Bright offers the perfect backdrop to celebrate the magic of the cooler months. Across the festival, visitors are invited to experience the warmth and charm of this vibrant town through a series of events designed for all ages. The much-loved Winter in the Village shopping night transforms Barnard Street into a glowing winter wonderland, complete with string-lit streets, roaring fire pits, live music, carollers, food trucks and late-night shopping. Local retailers open their doors with special offers, creating a lively yet intimate atmosphere. Families can enjoy a dedicated Family Fun Day on Saturday, packed with activities and entertainment for children, while a range of pop-up events and experiences hosted by local businesses take place throughout the festival period. The celebrations culminate in a spectacular Winter Ball the following weekend, offering a memorable finale filled with music, style and community spirit. From shopping and dining to music and family fun, the Bright Winter Festival is a celebration of the unique beauty of Bright in winter. Join the festivities and shop, sip, eat and gather in one of Victoria's most charming alpine towns.
