Mundi Mundi Plains
The Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash, held on the iconic Mundi Mundi Plains near Broken Hill in far west New South Wales, is a standout outback music and camping festival celebrating Australian artists and wide-open country. Presented annually, the event combines live music, camping and a relaxed outback atmosphere, appealing to travellers who enjoy iconic locations and shared experiences.
The Mundi Mundi Bash is known for its friendly, welcoming vibe and strong sense of community. It features a lineup of much-loved Australian performers and attracts a mix of grey nomads, families and road trippers from across the country. The festival is family friendly and dog friendly, with spacious camping areas that make it easy to settle in and feel at home. Charity activities held during the event support organisations such as the RFDS and Beyond Blue, adding a meaningful layer to the celebrations.
The remote yet accessible setting enhances the experience, with sweeping views and memorable sunsets across the Plains. Broken Hill and nearby Silverton offer historic streets, galleries and heritage attractions to explore before or after the festival. The site suits caravans and motorhomes, is accessed via sealed roads, and uses environmentally conscious facilities including composting toilets. First held in the outback in 2013, the Bash has grown into a bucket-list experience, inviting visitors to discover more and plan a truly memorable outback escape.
