Bioglan Newcastle Surfest Presented By Bonsoy

Bioglan Newcastle Surfest presented by Bonsoy brings the world's best up-and-coming surfers to Newcastle for the final stop of the 2026/27 World Surf League Challenger Series. More than 80 men and 48 women will battle for a place on the elite Championship Tour, making this the decisive event of the qualifying season.
First held in 1985, Surfest is Australia's oldest and largest surfing festival, and its honour roll includes Stephanie Gilmore (AUS), Mick Fanning (AUS), Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), Kelly Slater (USA) and Tom Curren (USA).
This Event will achieve the momentous milestone of celebrating 41 years of running.
