Melbourne Fringe Festival

Various venues

Melbourne Fringe Festival is where you discover what's next. For more than four decades, Melbourne Fringe has championed discovery, experimentation and creative expression, giving artists a platform to make bold work and audiences the chance to encounter something unexpected. Melbourne Fringe believes everyone has the right to creative expression. Its program brings together artists from every discipline, and a few you might not have thought of, across hundreds of events and venues throughout Melbourne. From emerging artists testing new ideas to established creatives pushing their practice in unexpected directions, Melbourne Fringe Festival is a place to see work that challenges perceptions, takes risks and opens up new ways of seeing the world. And it doesn't happen in just one place. Melbourne Fringe takes over Melbourne and beyond, bringing artists and audiences together across the city and creating opportunities to discover new work, new places and new perspectives. Come curious. You never quite know what you'll discover.
