Hervey Bay Whale Festival - Paddle Out for Whales

Ernie Organ Park & Torquay Pier

Paddle Out for Whales is a much-loved community event that brings people together to honour and celebrate the humpback whales in Hervey Bay. This annual event is an ocean gathering of paddleboards, kayaks and surfboards featuring a pre-paddle yoga for whales, live music and entertainment. Paddle Out for Whales aims to raise awareness for whale and ocean conservation and participants of all skill levels are encouraged to join. A minute of silence will be observed during the ceremony to recognise the importance of the ocean and whales to the world. Embrace the magic of Hervey Bays calm waters, grab your paddleboard and join in the meaningful tribute to the majesty of these gentle giants. Together, make a positive impact and ensure that whales continue to thrive for generations to come.
