A weekend of Country Music at its finest! Start the weekend off with a parade of floats in the CBD moving towards the festival then enjoy a weekend of music, dancing and fun! Since 1978, the Charters Towers Country Music Festival and has grown to become one of Australia's largest country music festivals featuring leading professional artists & hosting a country music talent search that has seen the likes of Samantha McClymont & Brendon Walmsley start their careers in the industry. The festival will be making 2027 its biggest celebration yet, as it marks 50 years of celebrating country music in Charters Towers.
