Adelaide Botanic Garden

Adelaide Botanic Garden is a botanical oasis in the heart of the city, where beautifully landscaped gardens, majestic avenues and elegant architecture create a must-visit destination. Spanning 50 hectares, the Garden showcases some of Australia's finest plant collections, featuring species from across the country and around the world. Step inside the historic Palm House to explore the Madagascan collection in this exquisite glass building – and admire the dazzling glass chandelier by renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Nearby, the Amazon Waterlily Pavilion immerses visitors in a tropical world of giant lily pads and delicate blooms. Wander through the Bicentennial Conservatory, where lush temperate rainforest plants thrive beneath soaring glass, and enjoy the fragrance of the International Rose Garden, in bloom from October to April. In the magnificent Museum of Economic Botany, discover how plants have shaped societies and explore changing exhibitions by talented artists. Relax with a meal or coffee at Botanic Lodge, overlooking the lake, or enjoy casual dining at Evergreen Deli by the colourful Mediterranean Garden. For a fine dining experience, Restaurant Botanic offers award-winning food surrounded by nature. Before you leave, browse the Diggers Garden Shop for seeds and garden wares, or find unique gifts and art at North Lodge Gift Shop.
