Martins Tank Lake Campground

Martins Tank Campground is situated on the banks of Martins Tank Lake, amongst the peppermint woodland and tuart forest of Yalgorup National Park. Visitors can enjoy bushwalking and birdwatching in the area, fishing and swimming at nearby Preston Beach, and viewing one of the earth's earliest life forms - the thrombolites - at Lake Clifton. The campground has 30 individual campsites, five are suitable only for tents; 16 for tents or regular-size camper vans and nine can accommodate caravans, camper-trailers and large camper vans. There are also four open camping areas (without individual sites) each of which can accommodate four tents and has parking for larger vehicles. There are toilets and a sheltered food preparation area with gas barbecues, a gas-burner for cooking pots, dish-washing sinks, food preparation surfaces, dining tables and benches. Campfires are usually permitted in two communal fire pits between April 1 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Firewood is not provided and must be purchased locally. Generators are permitted except in the individual tent-only campsites.
