Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races

Australia's biggest camel party combines camels and culture and camping in a three-day event in the tiny town of Tara in Queensland's Western Downs. Featuring an intoxicating mix of professional camel races, non-stop multi-cultural entertainment and the gathering of 12,000 people, camped across thousands of campsites. Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races is staged every two years, just three and a half hours west of Brisbane and two hours west of Toowoomba. Live concerts Friday and Saturday nights plus fireworks, camel races, Kids Zone with rides, roving performers, cultural cuisine, and colourful cultural stage shows.
