First Creek Wines is a family owned and operated winery based in the Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest wine producing region.
The talented family of winemakers comprises of Liz, Shaun and Greg Silkman whose emphasis on careful fruit selection and rigorous attention to detail produce a range of wines that appeal to both critics and consumers alike.
Since First Creek Wines opened its doors in 2001, it has become one of Australia’s most acclaimed wine brands. James Halliday has consistently awarded First Creek five stars in his renowned Wine Companion, and in 2014 granted the winery a coveted five red star rating which it has maintained every year since.
Chief Winemaker, Liz Silkman, was crowned Hunter Valley Winemaker of the Year in 2016 and 2011. She has also collected an impressive 16 Trophies and 41 Gold Medals on the national wine show circuit since 2015.
As well as Hunter Valley classics Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz, they also source a selection of alternative varieties such as Vermentino, Pinot Gris, Sangiovese and Tempranillo.
