How to grow mushrooms at home as part of your Kitchen Garden practice

Wattle Bank Farm

If you would like to get an insight into the wondrous world of mycelium and mushrooms growing at home or a passionate foodie, then this workshop is for you. Over two and half hours, they will conduct a farm tour of their cave and mushroom farm, and then teach you step by step on how to make your own take home grow kit. You will take away your recipe and loads of tips for a successful addition to your kitchen garden. The workshop includes a light tasting of the mushrooms and also include either morning or afternoon tea. The workshop is held at Wattle Bank Farm on the Bass Coast, minutes from Inverloch. The farm produces a variety of oyster mushrooms and shiitakes for Melbourne and Gippsland's best restaurants and cafes. You will also be able to take home some fresh and other produce from the farm gate. You will also get to visit the grounds and meet the horses as well.
