Teerk Roo Ra " the place of many shells" Small heritage - listed island Travel time of approximately 30 minutes each way Peel Island is rich in history, once used as a quarantine station, leper colony & asylum. The Island is known to the Quandamooka people as Teerk Roo Ra & was used for ceremonial purposes. Popularity remains high, as it can only be accessed by water. Peel Island is a low lying Island, with a tranquil white sandy beach. Situated in the southern half of Moreton bay. Surrounding waters Teem with marine life, including dolphins, dugong, turtles & more.
Approximately 1 hour & 30 minutes travel each way Listed as some of the top iconic beaches in Queensland. Local aboriginals named it Moorgumpin " Place of the sandhills" The sand dunes of Moreton Island. Formed by sand that caught & built up behind rocks. In a process that began at least 500,000 years ago. Highest dune in the world - 280 meters above sea level. We have a tender available ( small boat) to take guests over to explore the dunes. Water sports included Seabiscuit, large popular sea mat & swimming. BYO is welcome.
3rd largest Sand Island in the world. Tangalooma means "where the fish gather" Approximately 1 hour & 45 minutes each way. Beneath it's crystal clear waters, that surround the shipwrecks. More than 200 species of fish & 130 species of coral. 3 different species of marine sea turtle, dolphins, wobbegong sharks & stingray. The wrecks are considered one of Australia's best-snorkeling destinations. In 1963, 15 ships were scuttled to create a break wall for small boats which were island hopping. Tangalooma Island is also a location for big movies. Scooby Doo, Godzilla & more. BYO is welcome.

Brisbane, is the capital of Queensland. It is a large city on the Brisbane River. Approximately 3 hours Travel each way. The Brisbane River is called Maiwar in the Turrbal language, and was also used by the Yugera people. The Turrbal are an Aboriginal Australian people who traditionally lived in the Brisbane area. Clustered in its South Bank cultural precinct are the Queensland Museum with noted interactive exhibitions. Another South Bank cultural institution is Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, among Australia's major contemporary art museums. Looming over the city is Mt. Coot-Tha, site of Brisbane Botanic Gardens. A beautiful destination to cruise into, after a day out at Tangalooma Wrecks or Peel Island. Enjoy lunch or dinner on the stunning waterfront. Relax & soak up this beautiful city.
