Turn off the Bruce Highway at exit 244, onto the Old Bruce Highway. Turn left onto Kenilworth Skyring Creek Road. This road will rise to a lookout point before dropping to cross Chinaman's Creek Bridge. Turn right onto Tuchekoi Road and notice how the landscape has changed from light forest to grazing pastures. At the intersection of Mary Valley Road look out for the old barn which is popular with photographers. Turn left and make your way to the township of Imbil. Imbil is a quaint and modest town with a Sunday market and is home to the Mary Valley Tomato Festival in December.
Go along to explore the villages and townships of the beautiful Mary Valley. Experience their country hospitality, visit the weekend markets where fresh produce and unique arts and crafts can be found, take in the scenic views as they fluctuates from rich pastures and herds of grazing cattle to rolling wooded hills.
Take a picnic lunch and enjoy waterside activities at the stunning Lake Borumba which is just a 20 minute drive inland. The dam is regularly used by keen anglers and assorted watersport enthusiasts. For non-motorised craft the upper reachers of the dam are abundant with birdlife and offer many inlets to discover.
