With a queen bed, eletric blankets and cosy doona, a ‘state of the art’ bathroom, a kitchenette (with all you need in the way of cutlery and crockery), a little sitting area plus great extras like sun lounges, umbrella, barbecue, campfire already set up for you... and a hammock, what more could you want! And its right on the river with a great deck with deck chairs, BBQ and seating area. Just bring food, drinks and furbaby (if you have one)! There is solar lighting and in winter – gas heating – everything to make your visit as special and comfortable as possible. Situated just a casual stroll from the river, bring your swimmers for a lovely swim in the crystal clear mountain stream.
The mountain cottages are private and spread over 3000 hectares of private land adjacent to the National Park. All the mountain and river cottages offer the following open plan living areas, fully equipped kitchens, cosy fireplaces, warm doonas, electric blankets and pillows, eco-friendly solar powered living including books and magazines. Also included are outdoor private barbecue and eating areas, hammocks, outdoor private campfire area, and gas BBQ's. In addition the Mountain Cottages have a wide covered balcony with comfy deck lounges and sun lounges for reading, relaxing and enjoying the view. Inside the cabin there large open space living with free to air television, DVD player and a telephone. Just bring food and drinks, swimming costumes and towels to enjoy the swimming in the crystal clear mountain stream swimming holes. Activities include star gazing around the campfire at night, self guided bushwalking tours of all levels, 6000 acres to explore, horse riding, canoeing, swimming in the river, gold panning. Bring your bikes for bike riding. Nearby there is a golf course, helicopter rides, markets, vineyards...
Turon Gates offers spacious campground situated on the historic Turon River famous for its role in the gold rush. Over a kilometre of great camping along the river and they know guests prefer to pick their own 'spot' over an allocated one so there are no allocated spots. Amenities include recently renovated hot showers and toilets at no extra charge. Activities available include horse riding, bush walking, canoeing, swimming in the river, mountain bike riding (bring your own bike) and bird and animal watching.
