Tailor made tour over five days and four nights - travel to Coober Pedy, William Creek and visit Lake Eyre before exploring Arkaroola and Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges. The tour is fully accommodated - with ensuite and air conditioned rooms. Day One - Adelaide to Coober Pedy via Portt Augusta and Woomera, visiting the Breakaways after arriving in Coober Pedy. Overnight in underground accommodation. Day Two - Morning in Coober Pedy - visit Old Timers Opal Mine Museum, Big Winch Lookout and Underground Catholic Church. Travel to William Creek via Anna Creek Station and picnic lunch at Lake Cadi. 4WD to Halligan Bay - western edge of Lake Eyre after arriving at William Creek. Day Three - 60 minute scenic flight over Lake Eyre. Drive to Lake Eyre South on the way to Arkaroola via Farina, Marree, Lyndhurst and Copley. Day Four - Four hour Ridge Top Tour at Arkaroola then head to Wilpena Pound Resort via Blinman and stopping at Stokes Hill Lookout. Day Five - complimentary 30 minute flight over Wilpena Pound. Travel through the Brachina and Bunyeroo gorges before visiting the Clare Valley on the way back to Adelaide.

Travel through the Wilochra Plains and learn about the farming history and early train history as they pass by the remains of towns from times gone by. Visit the outback town of Hawker then onto the Moralana Scenic Drive - one of the most picturesque drives in the region - with an abundance of kangaroos, emus and birdlife - stopping along the way for morning tea under the gum trees. Next is the stunning landscapes of Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges - amazing ancient geological rock formations and Archeaocyatha Fossil (530 million years old!) and breathtaking views. And if they are lucky you may spot the rare Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby. Picnic lunch in Aroona Valley where Hans Heysen visited. During this tour they will complete a journey around the outside of Wilpena Pound - see its beauty from every side and learn about its formation and history. The day is filled with spotting Australian birds and wildlife in their natural surrounds and being with a local tour guide who will offer a lot of information throughout the day. Departing from Adelaide on Tuesday or Friday - on demand (subject to availability) This 3 day tour includes the story of the ediacaran fossils and the astonishing geological history of the region with a visit to the Nilpena Ediacara National Park to partake in the Ediacara Experience Tour (2 hours) from by Parks SA. We also visit other points of geological interest through the Central Flinders (Golden Spike, Archaeocyatha etc) as we journey through the gorgeous gorges in the region and visit magnificent lookouts. A complimentary scenic flight over Wilpena Pound is included (subject to weather) and of corse there will be our beautiful Australian wildlife to enjoy in their natural habitat - including the shy Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby
