Belair National Park

Set within beautiful natural bushland and featuring numerous picnic areas, tennis courts and an array of walking trails, Belair National Park is an ideal place to get active outdoors. The park was the first to be dedicated in South Australia and is home to some of the Adelaide Hills significant heritage attractions, including Old Government House and the State Flora Nursery. Approximately 250,000 visitors enjoy Belair each year. The park sits within the Mount Lofty Ranges which is regarded as one of Australia's 15 biodiversity hotspots, and remains one of the few relatively undisturbed areas of native vegetation in the region, making it an important refuge for native animals. The park has recently been upgraded with significant improvements to the park's picnic and visitor facilities. A vehicle entry fee applies. You can also hire tennis courts, ovals or exclusive use of picnic areas. Refer to website for full details. You can walk your dog in this park providing it remains under your control on a lead. GPS enabled maps are available for this park, check the website for details. Please be aware that there are no bins within the park, so be prepared to take all rubbish (including dog-poo bags) home with you.
