The Chalets are situated on top of the picturesque sand dunes overlooking the Indian Ocean and are perfect for a family getaway or a romantic weekend. The Chalets are fully self-contained (excluding bed linen) with their own kitchens, shower and toilet facilities. One room contains a queen-sized bed, and the other contains two sets of single bunks, in total sleeping six people comfortably. The Chalets are equipped with 24-hour power.
The five cottages at Quobba Station were originally part of the station outbuildings when Western Australia 'rode on the sheep's back'. The Stables cottage was once the 'tack room' and sleeps four people. This cottage is ideal for smaller groups or the budget-minded fisherman. The Outcamp cottage was originally the station hands' accommodation. It is quite large and sleeps eight to 10 people. The Cottage was originally the Overseer's accommodation. It sleeps five people. Smythie cottage was originally the Blacksmith's workshop and is made of stone. It sleeps seven people. The Long cottage was originally the station garage and sleeps eight people.
The transportable shacks sleep from four to six people and have a self-contained kitchen and dining area. They all use the common ablution block and run power off the station generator for 10 hours per day.
The Quarters sleep from 15 to 20 people, all in single beds. It has a self-contained kitchen and a very large dining/entertainment area (the greatest dining table for very long dinners). The Quarters use the common ablution block and the power runs off the station generator for 10 hours per day. The Quarters are only available for larger groups and are ideal for schools or corporate team building for a rugged outback coastal experience.
There are a number of caravan and camping sites available at Quobba Station. Powered, waterproof and unpowered sites are available. As the powered sites are run off the station's generator, use of electricity is restricted to timeframes of 6.00am to 8.00am, 12.00pm to 2.00pm, and 5.30pm to 10.30pm. No electrical cooking appliances are permitted. Fresh water and a common ablutions block are available. Freezers are available for AUD10.00 per night. No bookings required.
