Chinchilla Visitor Information Centre

The Chinchilla Visitor Information Centre offers a one-stop-shop for travel information; maps, brochures and itineraries. Come in and meet their team of friendly volunteers whilst browsing souvenirs, homemade jam, chutneys and local honey. Check out the beautifully crafted gifts created by local artisans and post your holiday picks with free Wi-Fi. Located next door to the iconic Big Melon, don't forget your melon selfie! Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the centre can provide local advice on the things to see and do, the best attractions to explore and local happenings. The Chinchilla Visitor Information Centre is located on the Warrego Highway, with easy off-street parking for vehicles of all sizes and free potable water for your RV. There are picnic tables under the trees - which are beautifully lit at night and it is a short walk to the Big Melon - or take the pathway across the railway line to the award-winning Chinchilla Botanic Parkland with toilets, picnic tables, barbecue facilities and easy walkways around this spacious parkland or just sit on the lawn under the shady towering trees.
